This page describes what ACIM Atlas collects when you use the site, why, how long it is kept, and what you can ask for.

1. Reading and listening

You can read, listen, practice, and download everything on ACIM Atlas without an account.

Visits are counted with Plausible Analytics, which uses no cookies, collects no personal information, and does not follow you across other sites. ACIM Atlas uses it only to see which pages are read.

The site has no advertising and no tracking cookies.

2. Settings kept in your browser

Some preferences are saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers them, including your light or dark theme, your chosen narrator and playback speed, where you stopped listening, and how you last viewed certain lists.

These stay on your device. They are not sent to ACIM Atlas, and clearing this site’s data in your browser removes them.

3. Signing in

An account is needed only to send a report, question, or feedback, and to see what you have sent. You sign in with Google or Apple. ACIM Atlas never sees your password.

When you sign in, ACIM Atlas receives from Google or Apple:

  • your name, if the provider shares it;
  • your email address, and whether the provider has verified it (Apple lets you share a private relay address instead); and
  • an account identifier, so the site can recognize you the next time you sign in.

A cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. It is used only for signing in.

4. Reports and feedback

When you send a report, question, or feedback, ACIM Atlas stores what you wrote, the page you sent it from, and when you sent it, linked to your account.

It also stores two technical details, which help with spotting spam and understanding problems you report:

  • your browser’s description of itself (its “user agent”), which names the browser and operating system; and
  • a coded form of your network (IP) address. The address itself is not stored, and the code cannot be turned back into it without a secret key held by the site.

Submissions are read only by the people who run ACIM Atlas. They are not published or shared outside the project.

5. Services that handle data

  • Linode (Akamai) hosts the site and its database.
  • Google and Apple handle sign-in under their own privacy policies.
  • Plausible counts visits, as described above.

ACIM Atlas does not sell personal information or share it for advertising.

6. How long information is kept

  • Sign-in sessions are deleted once they expire, 30 days after you sign in.
  • The technical details on a submission (the browser description and coded network address) are deleted after 365 days, which leaves time to review each submission.
  • What you wrote in a submission is kept as part of the site’s editorial record of corrections and questions.
  • Your account is kept until you ask for it to be deleted.

7. Your requests

You can ask for a copy of the information ACIM Atlas holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for your account to be deleted. Write to privacy@acimatlas.com from the email address you signed in with, or say which one it is.

When an account is deleted, its name, email address, sign-in records, and sessions are removed. What you wrote in your submissions is kept without your name attached, unless you ask for it to be deleted too.

Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you further rights. ACIM Atlas honors these requests wherever you live.

8. Children

ACIM Atlas is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has signed in, write to privacy@acimatlas.com and the account will be deleted.

9. Changes and contact

When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
