Understand the Ego Trap

Help as Threat

“Something in me knows correction will take away what I've built around this problem. Better to stay guarded than let help touch the part I'm still protecting.”

Watch Your Mind

Wrong-mindedness: Help is made to feel invasive because threat is easier to bear than losing loyalty to error. The familiar wound is defended against correction.

Right-mindedness: The hidden allegiance that makes peace feel unsettling can be brought into awareness. Fear marks what is still being protected from healing, not what healing would destroy.

Carry This With You

Sometimes what feels intrusive is the help your defended place resists.
