T-24.VI Salvation from Fear acim.org/acim/en

Salvation is reframed as a shared choice to see your brother’s sinlessness, undo specialness and sacrifice, and let the world and time serve healing rather than fear.

Recognize What's Happening Beneath

Under the surface, fear is not coming from the brother or the world, but from the wish to keep a private identity intact. The authority problem shows up as the claim of being self-made and needing nothing, and that claim has to be defended. Vigilance and other defenses keep scanning for threat, scarcity, and loss. Fear of God hides in that posture: holiness is sensed as a threat to specialness, and the mind prefers a dream of judgment, suffering, and death it thinks it can manage.

The undoing is gentle and uncompromising. Cause and effect are restored to the mind: what you hold about your brother is what you teach yourself, and the end you choose organizes every means. When time is used to delay joining, guilt stays protected; when time is given to healing, the memory of God is welcomed now. Beneath the many forms is one correction: accept sinlessness as the content, and let form serve it.

Reflect

When fear rises, what body-based story am I believing about my brother that blocks me from recognizing his holiness?

Practice

Bring one fearful relationship thought to mind. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you see holiness instead of a body. For one minute, let the thought of God’s presence replace your fearful story, without trying to fix the situation.
