Understand the Motif
Sonship: The one Son of God, in whom all individuals share a single identity—eternally whole, perfect, changeless, and incapable of separation from the Father. It is the self that belongs to you and to God, and it is your salvation.
Sonship: God has only one Son, and every apparent individual is an integral part of that one Sonship, with no fragmenting possible into genuine separation. The Sonship is a perfect creation in the sense that perfection has no degrees; all Sons are equal, eternally sinless, wholly joyous, and co-creators with God. Whatever any part of the Sonship experiences is experienced by all, and no decision is made by an individual alone but by the Sonship as a whole. The ego insists that the Sonship is fragmented and that an individual mind can be wholly independent, but this belief has no power to change the reality of oneness.
Notice the Shift
When it comes to identity, right-mindedness invites you to shift:
Consider the Context
Equality is the doorway into the Sonship in this stop. The miracle rests on recognizing that every member is the same in worth and reality, so the roles of giver and receiver cannot be used to set up a hidden hierarchy. When the mind accepts perfect equality, both sides advance together and time is shortened because there is no longer a private track.
A charge over the Sonship is easy to mishear as special status, but it points to devotion, not superiority. To take responsibility for the Sonship is to share it—freely, without possession. In this framing, leadership is simply consistent remembering: holding no one outside the blessing you would accept for yourself.
Reflect
When I try to help someone, what part of me still believes I’m above or below them?
Practice
Recall a recent moment you gave something—advice, comfort, forgiveness. Re-imagine it as a shared blessing, equally received by both minds. Ask the Holy Spirit to correct any sense of hierarchy, and rest a moment in simple equality.
