Understand the Motifs

Sonship: The one Son of God, in whom all individuals share a single identity—eternally whole, perfect, changeless, and incapable of separation from the Father. It is the self that belongs to you and to God, and it is your salvation.

Crucifixion and Resurrection: The crucifixion symbolizes the ego’s attempt to destroy the guiltless and proves only that assault on the body is meaningless; the resurrection symbolizes triumph over death through the recognition of invulnerability and the return to life.

Redemption is framed as choosing resurrection over crucifixion—shifting belief and allegiance so perception is reinterpreted, and salvation is recognized through shared forgiveness, joining, and giving.

As you read, notice how the themes Sonship and Crucifixion and Resurrection appear in this section.

Reflect

Where do I still imagine some people rise sooner, farther, or more worthily than others?

In the situation I’m facing, which identity am I trying to protect: victimhood or awakening?

Practice

When comparison arises, say, “We ascend together.” Ask the Holy Spirit to replace ranking with equal value and let one brother join you in thought.

Bring one conflict to mind and say, “I can choose crucifixion or resurrection here.” Ask for one thought that blesses both of you, and rest with it.
