Understand the Ego Trap
Hierarchy of Problems
“Some problems deserve more alarm than others, and some people deserve less patience. If I don't rank things, I'll lose control of what matters.”
Watch Your Mind
Wrong-mindedness: The wrong mind watches for differences in size, severity, and deservingness, because personal rankings keep judgment busy and exceptions intact.
Right-mindedness: The right mind watches the urge to rank and returns everything to the same interpretive order, where each call receives correction without hierarchy.
Carry This With You
Your hierarchy is what makes the answer hard to hear.
