Understand the Motif
Willingness: The small but genuine choice to accept truth, to let illusions go, and to release oneself to the Holy Spirit’s guidance: the sole prerequisite the learner must supply for transformation.
Willingness: Willingness is the capacity and choice to open the mind to what is true, to stop hiding from the Holy Spirit, and to accept correction. It need not be perfect, complete, or undivided; even slight willingness is sufficient because the Holy Spirit’s willingness is perfect and makes up for every deficit in yours. Unwillingness is rarely outright refusal but a judgment that the price is too high, so willingness includes letting your own values be questioned. What is required is not the absence of fear or impure thoughts but the absence of the wish to retain them: the desire not to hide anything. Willingness is not effort, struggle, or self-purification; attempts to prepare yourself through accomplishment actually interfere with what willingness receives. Even your reluctance can be handed to the Holy Spirit rather than hidden from Him.

T-26.II Many Forms; One Correction · Paragraphs 7-8 acim.org/acim/en
Receive correction for every problem; keep none in reserve for pain.
As you read, notice how the theme Willingness appears in these paragraphs.
Consider the Context
Willingness is linked to totality: be willing to receive correction for every problem, without keeping one in reserve. Keeping a single problem special is the ego’s way of keeping pain and separation protected in some form.
The section frames willingness as a refusal to keep hell in any disguise and as a simple wish for Heaven instead. With that openness, the barriers that seemed to lock away the memory of God’s Love begin to fall away. The key is not solving each form separately, but allowing one correction to apply universally by not excluding anything from healing.
Reflect
What one problem do I keep in reserve as if it cannot be healed, and what do I fear would happen if I included it in correction?
Practice
List three problems you’re carrying, then add, “and anything else I’m keeping back.” Say, “Holy Spirit, I am willing to receive one correction for all of this.” For 30 seconds, refuse to rank problems by importance; simply let them all be included.
