Understand the Motifs

Miracle: A correction of perception that expresses love and works at the level of mind, where the mistake was made. It demonstrates that what can change was never real, and what is real cannot change.

Forgiveness: Forgiveness is the release of guilt through the recognition that what seemed to be sin never actually occurred: looking beyond error rather than making it real and then pardoning it.

When cause is returned to mind, healing becomes inevitable: forgiveness withdraws the belief in sin, and miracles restore shared Will so perception is reinterpreted without exceptions.

As you read, notice how the themes Miracle and Forgiveness appear in this section.

Reflect

Where do you feel a divided will—wanting peace while keeping grievance—and what would change if you asked to see your true wish and God’s Will as one?

When you feel attacked, what effect do you assume attack must have, and what changes if you withdraw the meaning that gives attack its power?

Practice

Pause and ask: “Do I want what God Wills for me—peace?” Let your answer be simple willingness. Then offer one brother the same wish: “May we be healed together,” and feel how shared purpose strengthens the miracle.

In a moment of irritation, say: “Let truth be true.” Notice one attack meaning you assigned (“I’m unsafe,” “They ruined something”). Offer that meaning to the Holy Spirit and ask to see the situation without its assumed effects.
