Recognize What's Happening Beneath
The ego’s strategy underneath the themes is bargaining: accept spiritual help while keeping a grievance, a special relationship, or a self‑image as the final witness that separation is real. That bargain hides inside uncertainty, inside idol‑forms that still feel wanted, and even inside a kind of prayer that asks for limits.
The answer is simple and uncompromising: let the changeless be the measure, and let the miracle include what you would exclude. As guilt is withdrawn, vision strengthens, fear becomes less persuasive, and relationships shift from proving differences to learning a shared release that accepts the Atonement.

What image of my brother do I still treat as ‘the truth,’ even though it changes?
Practice
Choose one person and notice the strongest appearance you hold about them (role, flaw, story). Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what in them does not vary. Rest with that recognition for one minute, letting the image loosen.
