T-7.XI The State of Grace acim.org/acim/en
Grace is remembered as Sonship’s state—where the Holy Spirit shifts perception from scarcity to extension, and giving becomes the way the mind returns to the Kingdom’s peace.
Recognize What's Happening Beneath
Underneath the contrast between a state of grace and a made environment is a mind-level diagnosis: conflict is not caused by circumstances, but by the decision to prefer a self-made kingdom where value is private, graded, and defended. That choice produces the experience of difficulty, loss, and separation.
The correction is equally internal. Knowledge is regained through shared recognition—what you accept for your brother you accept for yourself—and through the willingness to let the Holy Spirit reinterpret perception. As exceptions dissolve, giving and receiving become one movement, and grace is remembered as what was always there.
Reflect
What kingdom of your own making do you still treat as home, and what results does it actually produce in your mind compared with the peace and joy the Kingdom promises?
Practice
Pick one attachment you use as a home (a role, a grievance, a special bond). Ask, “Does this protect my peace?” Then offer one inclusive thought to someone outside that attachment, and let the Holy Spirit show you a quieter home.
