Teachings Drawn from This Section

  1. Oneness. Joining becomes intimate: a shared interior space where the Holy Spirit reinterprets what you thought you were to each other. Holy joining is not fusion of personalities but the discovery, by decision, that two minds can want the same thing. There is only one real relationship—with God—and every other relationship either hides that fact or reflects it.

  2. Joining. The holy instant is the moment the mind releases its separate uses and accepts one purpose. The relationship becomes a bridge out of isolation rather than a fortress that protects it. Union does not mean harmony in form or that the other person suddenly behaves well; it means the relationship is no longer used to prove separation.

  3. Forgiveness. Fear of forgiveness is treated as a core obstacle. You fear it because you think it means losing something that keeps you safe: your grievance, your righteousness, your identity as the injured one. Forgiveness is redefined as release, not loss. The protection you think you are surrendering is the prison.

  4. Special Relationship. The Holy Instant redirects purpose without destroying form. The same relationship can serve separation or awakening depending on what you want it for. No one has to be selected for Love to be true; the issue is never the form but the goal assigned to it.

  5. Willingness. In the holy instant, willingness becomes the operative condition for practice. The obstacle is not lack of preparation but delay dressed as sophistication. Willingness becomes specific: willingness to let littleness go, to exchange self-made plans for God’s, to let go of hidden thoughts. For one instant, you need do nothing—not as passivity but as release of interference.
