The Time of Rebirth
Rebirth comes as we drop the sacrifice bargain, let time serve the Holy Instant, and accept the Holy Spirit’s reinterpretation where giving is receiving and all remain whole.

Teachings Drawn from This Section
-
Sacrifice. Fear’s governing idea is that something will be taken. The world’s justice needs a victim—if order is achieved, someone must be deprived; if a wrong is corrected, someone must suffer. Sacrifice becomes the mechanism by which sin is preserved: shift the cost onto someone else and call the arrangement fair. Even a tiny sacrifice carries the whole idea within it. Salvation is defined as the opposite: no one’s gain requires anyone’s loss.
-
Time. Readiness is willingness in the instant, not accumulated spiritual effort. Truth is recognized immediately because it was never made. Given to the Holy Spirit, time feels gentle—not harsh deadlines and proof-demands but kind guidance back to this instant without condemnation.
-
Guilt. In special relationships, guilt becomes the currency of intimacy. The special relationship is a sequestered haven built inside a storm of guilt, and it only works by locating sin and threat somewhere else. Guilt turns sacrifice into a bonding technique—someone must lose for someone else to be safe. The entire economy rests on a mistaken premise.
-
Fear of God. Time becomes a hiding place. If home feels annihilating, postponement feels merciful. The mind redefines Heaven as loss, as erasure, as a kind of cosmic punishment, and then refuses to question the death-centered story it is using as evidence. Specialness demands that Love single you out; equality then feels like an attack.
