Teachings Drawn from This Section

  1. Sinlessness. Your brother’s innocence reflects your own. Sinlessness becomes an act of honor: refusing to agree that he is guilty even when he claims it for himself. If you cannot accept your own innocence, you will not tolerate it in him—and you will keep him assigned to the role of enemy while telling yourself you are being fair.

  2. Oneness. Truth cannot be owned in pieces. The ego wants exclusive knowledge—a personal advantage, a corner of certainty—but truth is whole and undivided. Doubt is often not honest questioning but a fence, keeping a small distance from totality so the ego can breathe. Oneness becomes inner honesty: do you want a truth that includes everything, or one that leaves your specialness untouched?
