Teachings Drawn from This Section

  1. Kingdom. The Kingdom gathers around home—your true dwelling place. Everything in the dream you call home is either a symbol that can help you remember or a substitute that will disappoint. The final step is not yours; you are asked to remove what blocks awareness and accept that what remains is God’s doing. Heaven seems to bend toward you as you withdraw resistance.

  2. Salvation. Salvation is pictured as a rock—restored sanity: nobody has to lose for you to win. Then it is called a borderland, stopping just short of Heaven because perception is what needs correction. Full salvation asks only a little wish that truth be true. Delay is exposed as the wish to keep space between you and your brother, experienced as time. Future joy is a consolation prize you accept so you don’t have to join now. The brother becomes the place where salvation sleeps; condemnation is not merely unkind but absurd—you are attacking what would wake you.

  3. Happy Dream. The world is given a new purpose. You bring a different interpretation—not by correcting people but by stopping joining their guilt and stopping joining your own. Holiness is located where an old hatred has become present love: not in a cathedral but in the spot where you once clenched against someone and now you do not. Winter was never in the grass; it was in the grievance.
