Chapter 24
The Goal of Specialness
Peace is set as the aim, guaranteed by God’s Will, while learning asks a willingness to question each value that obscures the quiet mind. Specialness is unmasked as a hidden substitute for love, a treacherous search for lack and sin that the ego defends as identity. Forgiveness, guided by the Holy Spirit, undoes specialness by releasing illusions and restoring shared Will. Choosing again from specialness to Christ’s vision undoes judgment, and the body is turned from a shrine to specialness into a meeting place for joining.
