Teachings Drawn from This Section

  1. Holy Instant. Specialness depends on history—contracts, debts, comparisons, scarcity. In the Holy Instant the reference point shifts from personal narrative toward God as the only Reference: changeless Love that does not rank. Sharing brings gain without loss; the logic of sacrifice begins to look insane. Guilt loses its attraction because its purpose—disrupting communication—is absent when communication is restored.

  2. Love. Love dwells in you because your mind is host to God—it cannot be bought, earned, or traded for. The Holy Instant is the moment you stop bargaining and allow joining, experiencing Love as completion rather than acquisition. Sacrifice is not love; it is the ego’s theology that pain proves devotion. Love is what remains when all of that is removed.

  3. Scarcity Principle. In relationship, scarcity becomes the belief that strength and completion come from another. The special relationship is scarcity’s masterpiece: it tries to get completion by taking, trading selves while both partners feel vaguely robbed. Deprivation is what makes specialness seem valuable. The holy instant enters as a lived alternative—a moment in which you stop bargaining and share holiness instead. In that moment, sharing brings only gain because what is of the mind cannot be depleted.

  4. Memory of God. The holy instant becomes central: a tiny instant given to the Holy Spirit is enough to remember eternity now. Memory of God is not limited by time. You don’t have to solve your whole life or fix the past—the holy instant is the mind refusing to use time as a defense.

  5. Changelessness. The holy instant is the experiential doorway to changelessness—time loosens its grip, the mind stops using past and future as judges. The holy instant never changes and holds everything it ever held right now. You are not your timeline; correction is recognition, not transformation of reality.
