Illusions. The ego recruits truth to protect fantasy—polishing preferences until they look like guidance, naming bargains “love.” The Course reverses the direction: bring illusion to truth, not truth into illusion. Illusion is sustained by desire; the Holy Spirit asks you to bring it without makeup and let it be undone at the level of meaning.
