Teachings Drawn from This Section

  1. Vision. The vision of sinlessness sees your brother without sin—not overlooking error as strategy but recognizing that error cannot be the truth of anyone. Part of you prefers the nightmare because it justifies your defenses; vision of sinlessness removes the entitlement to attack back. Seeing innocence is correction in content, not manipulation of form.

  2. Sinlessness. Sinlessness must be seen in your brother—not in his behavior or apology, but in the part of your mind that wants to make actions into guilt. Your escape from fear is his sinlessness. The body cannot show it; vision replaces the body’s sight when the genuine desire to see innocence is present. The world itself is reclassified—stop using experience as proof of guilt.

  3. Sin / Error. Sin becomes a chosen goal in relationship: adopt the goal of guilt and perception organizes to justify it. In the holy relationship, perfect love has no category for sin—the savior is the one who overlooks mistakes and refuses to let error become identity. Vision replaces the body’s sight, and what seemed destructive becomes benign.

  4. Happy Dream. The Holy Spirit reinterprets the dream images themselves. What looked like violent chaos is re-seen as calm and life-giving. The happy dream is not denial; it is the undoing of the meaning you assigned. You do not have to leap from terror to Heaven in one stride—let perception soften enough that you stop resisting the next step.

  5. Altar. At the motif’s peak, the altar becomes a home you furnish—thorns of judgment or lilies of forgiveness. Your brother’s inner altar holds the lilies you have laid there, and sinlessness, accepted rather than achieved, reveals that altar as already holy.
