From the Motifs’ Teachings

From each motif's Teachings, the teachings and reversals that draw on this section, in the order of the motifs' salience here. Many draw on other sections too, listed beneath them.

Teachings Drawn from This Section

  1. Littleness. A sharper turn names littleness as chosen, not given. If it is a decision, you can question it. Grandiosity and littleness are the same project—self-authorship—performed at opposite poles. Accepting littleness is not humility; it is arrogance, placing your personal self-evaluation above God’s appraisal. Greatness is not superiority but what is already true, shared, and beyond comparison.

  2. Salvation. Salvation becomes an encounter—something that happens in an actual meeting with a brother. Every meeting offers the same fork: imprison or release. You cannot want salvation and keep one person out of it; the separation you protect with one justified grievance becomes the template for the whole dream. Willingness matters more than comprehension—salvation asks for consent, not mastery.
